Glamping in Cornwall at Mena Farm: a unique holiday experience

We all like those added creature comforts, don’t we? Those neat little touches that make things extra special. Well, how about adding a little slice of luxury to your camping trip and come glamping in Cornwall at Mena Farm? We have a few different options for you to enjoy. All our glamping accommodation is individually named after the nature and wildlife found here at Mena Farm.

Family glamping…

Say hello to Poppy, Daisy, Bluebell, Primrose, Clover and Buttercup – our superior bell tents, which are finished in a style all of their own. If you love that feeling of camping but want to try something a little more comfortable and convenient then why not give it a try?

What is in our bell tents? Well, rather a lot! You can leave the air bed (and foot pump) at home as our superior bell tents have a double bed with memory foam mattress, for the best night’s sleep! There’s also two single futon beds, so are a great choice for a family of four.

Inside you’ll find all the necessary utensils for cooking, preparing and storing food. There’s no electricity in our bell tents, but we provide Jackery solar panel arrays and power stations for lighting and gadget-charging, gas stove, a water carrier, cool box and ice packs, as well as cutlery, crockery & your own firepit. Beds are made up for your arrival and parking is available next to your bell tent.

If you’re looking for a year-round break, or fancy something a little more luxurious, then check our other holiday accommodation options, such as our glamping cabins, Kingfisher and Woodpecker, or the Old Farmhouse.

Glamping for grown ups…

Located in a secluded corner of the camping field, are our three Lotus Belle Tents, Oak, Willow and Hazel. Each has a 10-amp electric hookup to power the induction hob, kettle, toaster and lighting… Like the bell tents, the beds are made up for your arrival and everything you need to enjoy your stay is provided. They’re a little smaller in width than our bell tents, but have a lot more height and plenty of space for couples looking for a quiet break. A cool box and ice packs are provided for the duration of your stay.

Or you could try a stay in Dolly, our vintage caravan! Dolly is 50 years old and has had a lifetime of adventure, including close connections to the rich and famous. Now in her dotage, Dolly likes to move around the site depending on the time of year. In the height of Summer, you’ll find her enjoying the views in our rear meadows, whilst in the cooler months, she prefers the privacy and shelter of the hedgerows in our main camping field. Dolly sleeps two comfortably in her huge double bed, has a gas stove, electric kettle and toaster, and a (very!) small electric fridge. Please note there is no running water in Dolly.

What to bring with you?

When glamping at Mena, we do suggest that you bring with you some items, and not just your clothes! It would be handy to pack a few items. A torch is essential, as are towels, and wellies are always a good idea just in case.

We do allow a maximum of two x dogs in our accommodation, but no cats regretfully. Please bring doggie towels and furniture covers should the weather turn wet. Minimum stay is generally two nights, but please contact us directly to discuss shorter stays.

Our tents are available from mid-May through to mid-September. Dolly is available from April through to October.
